Read Full ArticleVeka is on top of the world after it won a second major profile supply deal in recent weeks. The company has now been secured by Everest 2020 Ltd, probably the UK’s best known home improvement company.
Everest 2020 ltd’s previous supplier, Duraflex, has been deemed not financially viable by its owners.
The owner of Duraflex is the UK Windows and Doors Group, which will now also source its profile from Veka Plc.
According to Wikipedia, Everest Home Improvement was a British double glazing and home improvement company. The company was founded in 1964 but went into administration in June 2020. A new company called Everest 2020 limited was formed in June 2020 following the administration, saving 1,000 jobs in the process.
Sustainability the key
Paula Chambers, CEO of Everest says: “Everest is a company committed to meeting the Future Home Standards even for replacement windows, so we can help UK homeowners reduce their residential carbon emissions. Veka is committed to sustainability, so it’s a perfect partnership based on shared principles.
Goals
Chambers continues: “For over 50 years the Everest brand has been synonymous with quality and we aspire that every Everest window installed from the end of the calendar year 2023 will meet and exceed all new building standards for both new build properties and replacements.”
Everest also chose Veka as its PVC-U extrusion provider due to manufacturing capabilities, technical specification and commitment product innovation.
Picture: Veka will now supply Everest 202 with the profile for its PVC-U windows such as this casement. Everest also supplies casements in wood and aluminium.
