Slim Model Geared For The High Life

Tilt and Turn windows from Epwin

Epwin Window Systems has launched its new aluminium tilt-and-turn window for high-rise buildings. The company states that the window has a strikingly slim sash that sits flush against its frame. Its concealed gearing gives a streamlined finish.

The level of high-end aesthetic detailing and technical innovation on the new Stellar flush tilt-and-turn window is impressive claims Epwin.

Part L

Its future-proof design meets all the revisions to part L of the building regulations and in turn offers acceptable thermal and weather performance. The window achieves a U-Value of 1.4W/m² with a double-glazed unit and 0.98W/m² with triple glazing. The Stellar flush tilt-and-turn window includes thermal break technology and triple air seals increase the weather tightness while providing additional protection from the elements which is important on medium and high-rise buildings.

“Stellar is the next generation in aluminium system design. Its high-end aesthetics, technical excellence and high-performing qualities are once again evident on the new Flush Tilt & Turn and presents additional market opportunities for our customers across both refurbishment and new build projects.”

Light

With a slim, flush profile the new window offers a large expanse of glass that maximises both light and vistas to create the kind of space that has become popular in domestic installations.

The transition from tilt-to-turn mode is seamless and easy to operate. The tilt mode operation offers good ventilation, an important feature with homes looking to improve their internal air circulation. And the turn mode allows for easy cleaning of the external window face and glass.

Knock-in beads

As with all products in the Stellar portfolio, the tilt-and-turn window has patented knock-in beads for fast and easy installation. It also has pre-inserted gaskets, which not only saves times on site but eliminates gasket overstretch which can be common on aluminium products. And as it is internally glazed installation is quicker and easier.

Colour

The Stellar flush tilt-and-turn window is available in a range of standard and non-standard RAL colours with a 25-year surface paint finish.
