19th-Century Appeal And 21st-Century Tech

ERA has launched a new range of Tear Drop and Monkey Tail window handles under its popular Fab&Fix heritage window and door hardware range.

The new key locking handles are suitable for fabrication with timber and PVC-U casement windows fitted with an espagnolette lock.

“By combining modern manufacturing methods with traditional designs, we have been able to deliver a high-performance finish that is harder wearing than traditional wrought iron furniture, whilst still creating an authentic visual appeal.”

Hardex

The handles are manufactured from die-cast zinc and are available in five patented Hardex finishes, including antique black and Hardex pewter.

The slim profile of the handles makes them compatible with the narrow sightlines of contemporary flush casement profiles. The addition of a positive stop also ensures the handle automatically locks on closing and prevents the gearbox from jamming or being forced.

Supplied in 30mm, 40mm, 45mm and 55m spindle variations to suit a variety of profile systems, complementary dummy and operating stays are also available to support window manufacturers in creating a cohesive window design.

Security

Suitable for use with a full PAS 24 test and strength tested to the equivalent of a modern espagnolette window handle, the handles are supplied with a 10-year mechanical guarantee and have been tested to 25,000 cycles and NSST Grade 5 (480 hours).
