A recent project saw The Residence Collection transform Simcoe’s Farm, an original timber property using the Residence 9 timber-alternative window and door system.

In collaboration with installer and fabricator, this farm building was transformed with 25 R9 windows and a set of R9 French doors, creating a timber-to-timber-alternative renovation story while maintaining that traditional timber aesthetic.

The property features two Residence 9 sash windows in the colour Painswick on the exterior and chalk white on the interior, fitted with gold Pear drop handles. 

For this renovation, all products were mechanically jointed and fitted with a 28mm glazing units, combining timber-style aesthetics with the performance and low-maintenance benefits of PVC-U.

The Residence Collection was chosen as the homeowner originally wanted someone to repair their broken timber windows; however, when the repairman arrived, the windows were too far gone. Shirestone Windows showed them Residence 9 and provided them with a window sample, which led to them moving forwards with The Residence Collection.
