Looking Back On Vista

Composite door manufacturer Vista Panels is celebrating 10 years of its XtremeDoor which has a high-security, five-point locking system and an anti-snap, bump and drill cylinder.

It also has extreme weather performance thanks to a triple-sealed PVC-U outer frame and GRP weatherproof skin and strong thermal performance thanks to a high-density foam-filled composite door slab.

The five-point locking system boasts an anti-snap, bump and drill cylinder designed to withstand the main attack methods during a burglary. The lock has also been upgraded over the years to pull tighter to the frame to improve its weather performance by 50%.

The GRP skin is now 100% thicker, than it was a decade ago having been increased from 2mm to 4mm.

“In 2013, we saw a gap in the market for a high spec door that offered performance, thermal efficiency and security.”

Development & marketing manager, Vista Panels

Styles and colours

“We’re just as excited about XtremeDoor as we were when it was launched. It’s fantastic to see it continue to soar a decade on.”

The range has recently been expanded to include several new styles, RAL colours and hardware options.

Machinery investments and two major factory expansions at Vista have seen increased production year on year.
