Yale has launched a 25mm multi-point lock variant that has been specifically designed to suit slim low sightline aluminium bi-fold doors. It can be found in the Lockmaster bi-fold range.

The 25mm backset lock features a combination of Lockmaster signature hooks, an anti-lift pin and compression rollers for greater security, along with smooth operation, tolerance and ease of use.

Paul Atkinson, MD at Yale, says: “The UK homeowners' desire for bi-folding doors is understandable, enhancing the lifestyle aspect and utilising outdoor space. The market having gained strong momentum, shows little sign of abating. 

“Our new 25mm bi-fold door lock obviously delivers a high level of security, meeting the requirements of PAS 24, yet it also allows for slimmer profiles and slimmer sightlines, complementing modern interior design trends. It is available in both active and passive solutions.”

Made in Britain

The entire Lockmaster range is manufactured in the UK and carries the Made in Britain marque. What’s more, following the recent partnership with Caldwell, Yale is also able to offer a full range of bi-fold ancillary products such as rollers, top guides and hinges.

Atkinson adds: “As bi-folds are a premium purchase, the fine detail around the lock, handle and cylinder are all important aspects.  We can offer a high-security bi-fold package that enhances the aesthetic appeal which includes not only the lock but also a bespoke designed slim backplate door handle, and a 3-star security cylinder. This allows our installer and fabricator customers to promote a secure Yale solution package that fits the slim style aluminium profiles that are popular today.”
