Fabricator DAWS has increased its production capabilities with the purchase of a second AMC308 Automatic CNC machining centre – the sixth Kombimatec machine to join its operations in three years.

Door and Windows Systems or DAWS, as the company is better known, fabricates in Smarts Systems’ aluminium profile and specialises in supplying trade customers with aluminium doors, windows, bi-folds and sliding doors.

Quick set-up

“Kombimatec provide us with what we need, with a supportive service to get kit installed and up and running along with any staff training that is needed, so we can quickly and easily increase our output and streamline our production process without disrupting our existing operations,” says DAWS Rogers.

Precision

The AMC308 3+1 Axis machining centre features an intuitive touchscreen interface and fully-automatic cycle, programmed with built-in macros. A 5HP electro spindle, inverter driven to 18,000rpm, makes it suitable for routing aluminium and light steel profiles. It also has an ISO30 ‘Quick Change Tool Holder’ and automatic tool change cabinet, workbench rotation of 0-90-180 degrees. It has both front- and end-loading options for longer profiles.
