Clarion has secured the Argenta House site in the London Borough of Brent and appointed JRL Group to deliver 180 affordable homes.
The site has been brought forward through Argenta House (Stonebridge Park) LLP, a joint venture partnership between Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, and Cervidae. Working together, the partners secured planning permission for the site and progressed a vision for a 100% affordable housing development. The location is opposite Stonebridge Park Station.
Following the completion of the land purchase, Clarion has now taken full ownership of the site and appointed JRL Group as construction partner, providing a clear route to delivery for a scheme that had previously stalled.
Recently approved by the London Borough of Brent, the development will deliver 88 homes for social rent and 92 for shared ownership, helping to address acute local housing need. The proposals increase the number of homes on the site, including more family-sized accommodation, alongside improvements to public realm and connectivity.
Work is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with completion expected in early 2030.
Richard Cook, the group development officer at Clarion Housing Group, says: “Through our partnership with Cervidae, we were able to secure planning permission and establish a strong platform for delivering much-needed affordable housing at Argenta House. By acquiring the site and moving directly into a construction contract, we are ensuring this long-stalled scheme becomes a deliverable project. This is about long-term stewardship as much as delivery. Taking full ownership of the site allows Clarion to ensure these homes remain affordable for generations to come. We are pleased to be working with JRL Group to bring forward a development that supports Brent’s housing ambitions and helps unlock regeneration around Stonebridge Park.”
Kevin Keegan, a director at JRL Group, says: "We are delighted to be entrusted with the delivery of this landmark building which will provide much needed housing in a sustainable location with great transport links."
