• Arada Arrives In London With Tripling Homes Plan

Sultan bin Ahmed’s Arada has bought 75% of Regal, one of London’s leading residential-led mixed-use developers. Arada London now has a 10,000-unit pipeline over 11 projects – and plans to triple that pipeline over next 3 years.

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi is a member of the ruling family of the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He acts as chairman of Arada. He recently attended a ceremony to mark the Regal acquisition and to commit AED2.5 billion to accelerate London residential development.

UAE strength

Arada was launched in the UAE in 2017 and grown strongly. The London purchase gives it a platform on which to deliver at speed and scale. It will retain the 150-person-strong Regal business which has been operating for 30 years.

Since its inception, Regal has built over 4,000 residential units, and 1m.sq.ft of commercial space.

As part of the transaction, Regal’s executive team, as well as the company’s founders, will all stay with the business.

Projects on the go

Regal’s projects under construction include Fulton & Fifth in Wembley, a mixed-use residential-led development comprising 876 homes, 40% of which will be affordable. The scheme is also home to Regal’s second Regal Academy, which provides construction skills training and employment pathways to the military community and local people.
