All Wrong On The Night – Expo Stand Pinched Before Big Show

The Installer and The Fabricator Magazines and Websites will be at FIT Show 2025 – but we will be taking special security measures after an exhibitor had their whole stand and their van nicked.

Not stolen from a show we attend but still taken…leaving the exhibitor with a huge expense for exhibitions space, electricity, lighting, catering, hotels etc and nothing to show. The news came to us from Alan Jenkins of Quadrant2Desing, a stand builder with knowledge of the security issues. He says: “90% of burglar alarms are purchased by people who've just been burgled – which is a handy fact for purveyors of windows and doors along with security locks and other products such as smart home systems.

“Likewise, most exhibitors aren't interested in the security of their exhibition stand until disaster strikes.

“We recently lost a project to a 'cheap' contractor. But the cheap contractor, turned into a very expensive contractor, when they left the client's exhibition stand overnight in a van, that was stolen before the build. So no van and importantly no exhibition stand. And enormous loss of credibility and sales for the exhibitor concerned. ”If you're one of those people who'd prefer to buy the alarm before being burgled we can tell you about the extensive security measures we take to ensure you're not left with an empty space at your important show.

“Design proposals are free of charge and without obligation. We design, manage and install in space-only sites and within shell-scheme space. Stands are custom-designed yet reusable, saving you tons of money over a series of events.”

Picture: This picture is taken from a previous edition of FIT Show and is purely for illustration purposes only – an exhibitor at a completely different event had to display its wares out of boxes as its entire exhibition stand was stolen.
