Acquisitions Ahoy For Assa Abloy – Arran On Board And Caldwell Coming

A heritage espagnolette from the Mila

Assa Abloy has sailed into the purchase of Caldwell Manufacturing and finalised the acquisition of Arran Isle. Both firms are designers, manufacturers and suppliers of hardware for fenestration.

The acquisition of Caldwell excludes Cotswold Architectural Hardware Limited.

Assa Abloy is an international group with 51,000 employees. In the UK, Assa Abloy is best known for the Yale and Union brands and has its head office and main manufacturing centre in Willenhall.

Arran Isle

 

The acquisition of Arran Isle has undergone full regulatory approval by both the Competitions and Market Authority (CMA) in the UK and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) in Ireland.

Arran Isle has some 560 employees, with operational activity at sites in the UK, Ireland, Europe and China. Arran Isle has a varied portfolio of products primarily trading under the brands of Carlisle Brass and Mila.
