UAP Joins Public Access Defibrillators Network

A defibrillator

Lock and hardware firm UAP has invested in a set of defibrillators for its two premises. Both are registered so they can be found by the public in an emergency.

By joining a scheme and adding the defibrillators to the Public Access Defibrillators network they are available should an employee get into difficulty and they join the hundreds that are now easy to locate throughout the UK via heartsafe.org.uk

At UAP's sites, defibrillators help to protect against Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), which is a leading cause of death in the UK, affecting around 700,000 people each year, according to the Resuscitation Council.

These devices can save lives in an emergency, so it’s very important that they’re available and in working order - so UAP is also ensuring they are regularly checked and maintained.

UAP is also promoting training videos from the Resuscitation Council. These for a free training resource with interactive movies where you can learn the essential skills needed to save a life.
