Schueco UK has bought Kestrel Aluminium Systems and Kestrel Powder Coating. The deal was completed on 5 September.

Schueco UK and Kestrel will continue to be operated as separate entities with Kestrel maintaining its Midlands base.

Kestrel Aluminium Systems began as a small distributor of shopfront systems in 1989. Over the years, the privately owned company has grown to become a nationwide fenestration systems house developing commercial and domestic products.

Kestrel has developed a large distribution fleet servicing a network of fabricators. The company has built a reputation for being able to provide expert technical advice to not only its fabricators but tok specifiers and contractors as well.

Staff and customers

The respective company principals (Peter Temprell, MD at Schueco and Nicola Baylis, Kestrel general manager) have written to both customers and staff to reassure them they will not be affected. Kestrel customers were told by Baylis ‘there are no changes to ordering, fulfilment, or payment processes for Kestrel, lead times and deliveries continue as usual and your Kestrel representatives and all Kestrel personnel remain the same. We look forward to providing you with the same great products and services’.
