Available across Silka’s aluminium French doors, windows and bi-fold doors, the new integral blinds are designed to meet growing homeowner demand for sleeker, low-maintenance living solutions. The blinds are sealed within the glass unit itself, creating a completely streamlined finish without external cords, slats or dust build-up.
Pellini partnership
Silka has partnered with Italian manufacturer Pellini for the blind technology. Homeowners will benefit from smooth magnetic controls, durability and a clean, contemporary, customisable look. They come with a two-year warranty as standard.
The blinds are available in Anthracite grey, black, cream and light grey. They in sizes up to two metres with full slide and tilt functionality – and up to three metres with tilt-only operation.
“We know that homeowners are seeking smarter and more energy-efficient ways to live and that extends to every part of their home, including their glazing,” says Asa McGillian, the MD at Silka and its parent company New World Developments. “The launch of our integral blinds range is another example of how we are delivering intelligent, futureproof solutions that keep our customers in tune with the very latest industry developments, which in turn means they win more work.”
The introduction of integral blinds is timed for the summer season, when solar control, comfort and privacy become a higher priority for homeowners, particularly in glazed extensions and open-plan living spaces.
