A 3D product configurator for Composite Garden Buildings has delivered what the company's Jason Wilder says has great functionality and amazing graphics.

Richie Thornton, a director at The Consultancy, told TheInstaller more about the project: “Our brief was to create an interactive 3D product configurator to sit on the Composite Garden Buildings’ existing website,  which would allow homeowners to create their own perfect garden room and then make an enquiry based on that design."

Technically impressive

“The end result for Composite Garden Buildings is hugely impressive – both visually and technically. It enables homeowners to select the dimensions of their ideal garden room and then add the windows and doors they need, before selecting a colour for each of their chosen elements," continued The Consultancy's Thornton. "They can also add porch canopies and different roof variations to suit their plans and once their design is complete, review and rotate their finished building through 360° to see exactly how it will look from all angles."

The Composite Garden Buildings' Jason Wilder added: “Our initial aim was to engage the homeowner with the design possibilities and inspire them with what they could do with their new room. Using all their market experience and considerable software expertise, The Consultancy has definitely achieved that for us. We’re really enjoying seeing some of the brilliant designs that users are creating for everything from man caves to gyms and home offices.”

 

Dream glazed extensions

Having been acquired by Business Micros in February this year, The Consultancy is keen to show a broader outlook Richie Thornton said: “What we’ve demonstrated for Composite Garden Buildings is that we can go beyond just window and door designers and into more complex structures that allow homeowners to create and visualise their dream glazed extensions.”
