Open The Door To The Complete Aluminium Look

A black composite door

The Prestige Composite Door Frame has been designed to allow installers and fabricators to offer ‘whole-house’ aluminium solutions, where all frames are matched across a project.

Matching will be in styling, colours, performance and guarantees. Prestige comes from Sheerline. It is the latest addition to the company’s aluminium window and door range.

Part L

A choice of two aluminium outer frames that fit both 44 and 48/49mm door blanks are all ready to help doorsets meet the new requirements of part L coming into force on 15th June this year, with Sheerline’s Thermlock branded thermal breaks delivering the required thermal efficiency.

Less bounce

Features such as threshold cover strips that conceal fixings and universal sealable end caps have been created with installers in mind. The frames are said to be sixteen times more rigid than reinforced PVC-U and virtually eliminate door ‘bounce’.

The systems two low threshold options, tested to the requirements of part M, can be run continuously under sidelights if required for improved aesthetics. With both thresholds able to accommodate a mechanically jointed ‘T’ transom/mullion, providing slimmer sightlines when doors are configured with sidelights.

The frames are intended to match Sheerline’s Prestige and Classic range of windows and patio doors.
