Getting Ahead
Express Trade Frames is one of the latest fabricators to manufacture Sheerline, the aluminium window and door system from Garnalex, saying it is ahead of the rest.
Express Trade Frames MD, Scott Law says: “We knew Sheerline was going to be a great system and we wanted to get on board and grow with Garnalex as they grow. It’s ahead of the market. We’d followed Roger Hartshorn’s success at Liniar and wanted to be part of it.
“For us, the speed and ease of fabrication is important," adds Scott. "The market is asking for lower U-Values, especially on new build sites to meet tighter building requirements and this is achieved with Sheerline."
“We fabricate the flush sash option as standard. The feedback we’ve had from installers has been really positive, they say it’s easy to install and glaze up and they like the low sightlines.”

Growth
Based in Fleetwood, Lancashire for 22 years, Express Trade Frames has been fabricating aluminium for just three years but aluminium has grown so fast it now exceeds its PVC-U sales.
Commercial installations
Law adds: “Aluminium has grown fast because of its sustainability credentials, colour choice and slim sightlines. The market has responded very well to Sheerline and we’ve already picked up several commercial contracts on the back of sending out samples.
"Garnalex delivers within five working days so we’ve been able to reduce our stock levels and still meet our customers' targets.”
Made in Britain
