Everyone Wants To Make Or Sell Ali Bi-folds

Insight Data has revealed there are over 880 aluminium fabricators across the UK – with a whopping 770 of them manufacturing aluminium bi-fold and other garden doors.

With home working driving a trend to demand more light and space in the homes of those less affected by the cost-of-living crisis, the demand for energy-efficient bi-folds is still likely to soar.

This means the market has become extremely competitive, so fabricators are increasingly on the lookout for suppliers who will deliver quality hardware on time and at an affordable price. One company claiming it can provide the full package is aluminium bi-fold hardware supplier AT Precision.

“Thanks to continual investment, AT Precision has become a leading aluminium bi-fold hardware supplier with a reputation for excellent quality, quick turnaround times, affordable prices, and reliability.”

Sales director, AT Precision

What’s on offer?

AT Precision started off in Durham in early 2020 with the launch of Everglide, a range of bi-fold hardware that includes door rollers, top guides, pull handles, cleats and shootbolt handles, all of which are compatible with all major aluminium systems.

A few months later, the company launched the Everseal range of wedge, captive, flipper and bubble gaskets, also compatible with all major systems.

“And because we manufacture all our products in-house, we are able to offer them at a much more affordable rate compared to systems companies,” continues AT Precision’s Hewitt. “By coming directly to us, fabricators can essentially cut out the middle man and potentially save up to £60,000 a year.”

Growth

Over the past 12 months, AT Precision has continued to expand its product portfolio, adding plastic ancillaries, espagnolette window handles, and security hardware to its range.

Profile as well

In the next few months, the company will not only offer Everglide hardware but will be introducing the Everglide range of aluminium profile as well.

“Thanks to strategic investment in machinery to manufacture the profile, as well as an extrusion machine to manufacture a thermal break, we will soon be able to supply everything fabricators need to manufacture a bi-fold,” adds Hewitt.

“This significant investment will also see us expanding our facility to 120,00sq.ft, 40,000 of which will be used for manufacturing, and the rest for storage, ensuring that we’re always stocked up enough to meet customer demand and deliver quick turnaround times.”
